A Symposium for China International Digital Economy Expo 2023 Held in Beijing

On May 11, the Executive Committee of CIDEE held a symposium for China International Digital Economy Expo 2023 in Beijing to deeply implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the congratulatory letter from the President Xi Jinping to China International Digital Economy Expo 2019, do a high-quality job in the preparation of China International Digital Economy Expo 2023, continue to create an international grand event leading the development of the digital economy, a national level platform for showcasing the latest achievements of the digital economy, and a world-class platform for digital economy exchange and cooperation, and accelerate the construction of Digital China and Digital Hebei.

The symposium was chaired by Wang Jianfen, Deputy Secretary General of the Executive Committee of CIDEE and Deputy Director of Industry and Information Technology Department of Hebei Province. Leaders from 17 units, including the China Center for Information Industry Development, the China International Electronic Commerce Center, the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, The Chinese Institute of Electronics, and the National Industrial Information Security Development Research Center, participated in the exchange.

At the symposium, Deputy Secretary General Wang Jianfen expressed gratitude to all participating units for their positive contributions to the successful hosting of the previous China International Digital Economy Expo. He introduced the overall design of China International Digital Economy Expo 2023 and the collection of key activities such as forums, events, releases, exhibitions, and matchmaking, listened to the willingness and ideas of each unit to participate in the Expo, as well as their opinions and suggestions on high-quality hosting of the Expo.

Deputy Secretary General Wang Jianfen pointed out that China International Digital Economy Expo 2023 will further enhance its level from high-end, internationalization, specialization, industrialization, and marketization to create unique features and achieve breakthroughs. The CIDEE 2023 will highlight innovation in theme forums, stress openness in comprehensive exhibitions, underline the leading events and activities, underscore the transform achievements, and emphasize the effectiveness of matchmaking activities. In particular, the comprehensive activities of national industrial ecological conferences, special exhibitions and professional events will be held around five key areas, including big data industry, artificial intelligence and robots, the metaverse, information and innovation industry, and Industrial Internet. International and domestic industrial chains, supply chains, innovation chains, ecological chain leading enterprises, service platforms, financial institutions, associations and alliances will be invited to show exchanges, negotiate matchmaking, and deepen cooperation. We will promote the investment of a batch of high-quality industrial projects, accelerate the deep integration of the digital economy and the real economy, and create an internationally competitive digital economy industry cluster.

All participating units stated that they will actively participate in and fully support the preparation of China International Digital Economy Expo 2023, carefully plan and organize high-end digital economy activities, and provide useful suggestions for the high-quality hosting of the Expo.

On May 12, Deputy Secretary General Wang Jianfen led the relevant comrades of the Executive Committee Secretariat to visit the key organizers of the China International Digital Economy Expo, such as the China Electronics Chamber of Commerce, the China Association for Trade in Services, the Innovation Driven Development Center of the National Development and Reform Commission, the China Federation of Internet Societies, the China Center for Information Industry Development, and held discussions and exchanges with the heads of relevant units on how to prepare for the Expo.
